Deposit on a whole sheep for mutton (meat from a sheep over 1 year old). Available seasonally in early summer. Limited supply: Final cost to be calculated as $7.50 per pound of hanging weight.  Hanging weights are quite variable, but typically range from 50-75 lbs, bringing the price for a whole mutton sheep $375-$550, or half of that for a half mutton.
